Fees & Rebates
I aim to keep fees and payment arrangements clear and straightforward, so you know what to expect before beginning therapy.
Session Fees
Initial Consultation — $225
50-minute individual psychology consultation.
Standard Consultation — $225
50-minute individual psychology consultation for appointments commencing before 3:00pm.
Peak-Time Consultation — $245
50-minute individual psychology consultation for appointments commencing from 3:00pm onwards.
The slightly higher fee for later appointments reflects the greater demand for sessions outside standard working hours.
Fees are the same for both in-person and telehealth appointments.
Medicare Rebates
If you have a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral from your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician, you may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate for psychology sessions.
Eligible clients can generally access Medicare rebates for up to 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year under a Mental Health Treatment Plan.
A Medicare rebate of approximately $98.95 may apply, reducing the out-of-pocket cost of a standard $225 consultation to approximately $126.05.
Please speak with your referring practitioner about your eligibility and the number of sessions available to you.
Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance with extras cover for psychology, you may also be eligible to claim a rebate toward the cost of your sessions.
The amount you can claim varies considerably between insurers and policies. As a general guide, rebates may be around $50–$100 per session, although your individual rebate may be higher or lower depending on your level of cover and annual limits.
I recommend contacting your private health insurer directly to confirm your psychology benefits and expected rebate.
Please note that you generally cannot claim both a Medicare rebate and a private health insurance rebate for the same session.
Payment
Payment is required at the time of your appointment.
For Medicare-referred clients, payment of the full consultation fee is required before the Medicare rebate can be processed.
Further information about payment methods will be provided when your appointment is confirmed.
Cancellation Policy
I understand that circumstances can change and appointments sometimes need to be rescheduled.
If you need to cancel or change your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice by text message or email.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments, may incur the full session fee.
Cancellation fees are not eligible for Medicare or private health insurance rebates.
Getting Started
You do not need to know exactly what you want to work on before getting in touch. The initial consultation provides an opportunity for us to discuss what has brought you to therapy, develop an understanding of what you may need, and consider how we might work together.
If you would like to arrange an initial consultation or have a question before booking, please feel free to get in touch.
